Karen Arrington is the founder of the Miss Black USA pageant. More than a show, it's a movement, celebrating the talents and achievements of black women today and awarding over $ 450,000 in college scholarships each year. Since the competition began in 1986, Karen has mentored more than 1,000 young women, helping them get into top medical schools, secure major modeling and recording contracts, secure grants and training deals. sponsorship that changes their lives, and more. .
In addition to running the competition, Karen is a philanthropist and humanitarian whose work has touched millions of lives. I have always dreamed of living a higher level life even though the life I was leading was comfortable (even when I was a child). There was something subconsciously always reminding me that it was somehow possible - living a higher level life, you know, but trying to figure out how to make it happen was the struggle in my conscious mind. Of course, I have had faith and continue to be rooted in my daily foundation of faith. And yes, I prayed. And then I prayed and prayed again. But a part was missing. That missing piece was nothing more than "the security of having a mentality worthy of opportunity (or dream)".
Having had the opportunity to read an excerpt from this book a few months ago, along with my professional and personal relationship with Karen, I am delighted to share the gems I have learned and experienced throughout my higher level life.

I just finished reading the entire book 5 minutes ago. I wanted to read the book before leaving a comment, so here it is. This book is timely. I'm at a point in my life where I've started to get discouraged and I feel I can't do it and there are too many obstacles and my goal is too big and I have to minimize it. This book gave me the confirmation that I needed that I don't dream too big and I need to dream big, it gave me so much self-confidence and I feel so good after reading it and gives good advice on the things I have need to do to achieve my goals. This book is just pure inspiration and I'm glad I read it. I really needed this confidence boost ? thank you!
This book served as a reminder (a reminder is a blessing), it was a confirmation and it was powerful. This book is short, it is succinct, it goes straight to the point but in a very broad way. It gives you tools but doesn't beat you up, it gives you antidotes in a simplified way even if it's actually a big deal because getting the job done, motivating you to do the job is what a lot of people have to do. a problem. I love the way the rules are presented and how I found something useful in each rule. Rule number three definitely hit me. I think the book impressed me overall because I know a lot about it, and I may have done it in the past, but it confirmed what I need to do when I start in the next levels of my life. The timing is perfect and there were some gems I hadn't considered, I had some real aha moments reading this book. This gorgeous little book has been a confirmation to me and it's short enough that when I've taken the right path and need a boost, I can pick it up and get a quick dose of inspiration. . I feel energized right now ... and happy to have purchased and read it!

I'm just saying this book is a REAL revelation !!!! I once heard Oprah say you should "surround yourself with people who will take you to this next level", however, author Arrington REALLY breaks it for you !!! She explains everything you need to do to be truly successful in this crazy world !!! Like Sistah, she demonstrates to her readers that through The Most High ... anything is possible! Arrington's book is still great!
