International Business: The Challenges of Globalization is a comprehensive introduction to the difficulties of global entrepreneurship. By employing engaging features and real-world examples through concise, focused text, the eighth edition presents a fresh take on the subject that is both interesting and invaluable to readers.
The material has been fully updated based on feedback from readers and instructors and the ever-changing world of international business to ensure it remains up-to-date and well received by the public. Focusing on relating key concepts to concrete examples, this practical text is highly relevant to a future career as a global entrepreneur.
International business addresses the issue of cultural barriers that arise in global business, as well as the theory and terminology essential to the process of conducting successful business abroad. Its brief but comprehensive coverage of all major international business topics makes it an ideal introductory text for readers exploring this subject.
This book and the course I was taking were very informative, with plenty of real-world examples of what people are doing in my industry.
This was a rental so my review may be out of date as I have been taking the course for a year. However, I got an A in the course and was afraid of taking an international business course because I don't speak a second language. Although this is not about "how the economy works in Spain" or "how to do business in Ireland", it follows the course material pretty well and explains how global trade works. As a Supply Chain Manager (now) this was a valuable course and I'm glad to have it across from Alternative International Economics which didn't translate as well into a Masters program.
The text of International Global Business wasn't as decent as other books I ordered last year. The previous owner wrote too much in it. However, I am satisfied with The Bedfford Handbook.
It was a good book with factual information. Everything is explained in simple terms, and there are case studies at the end of each section to get you thinking.
