This book will revolutionize some of the most important conversations in your life - the ones you have with yourself. Ethan Kross is not only a pioneering psychologist and neuroscientist, but also an extraordinarily gifted writer and storyteller. He shows that instead of trying to silence your monkey mind, you can learn to educate, motivate, and even reason with it.
Ethan Kross is one of the world's leading experts on mind control. An award-winning professor and best-selling author at the University of Michigan's top psychology institute and the Ross School of Business, he studies how the conversations people have with themselves affect their health, performance, decisions, and relationships.
Ethan was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he was elected a Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude. After completing his PhD in psychology from Columbia University, Ethan completed a postdoctoral fellowship in social affective neuroscience to learn more about the neural systems that support self-control. In 2008 he moved to the University of Michigan, where he founded the Emotion & Self Control Laboratory.
