On January 5-8, Las Vegas hosted the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES). This year, the event was returned to the offline format, although some large companies, including Intel, AMD, Meta Platforms and others, still refused to participate in full-time due to the epidemiological situation. As in previous years, smartphones, TVs, laptops, robots, smart home devices, and automotive technologies were shown at CES. We have chosen the most interesting of them.

South Korean Samsung presented a portable Freestyle projector. The device is equipped with a 180-degree rotating stand that allows you to project content on walls, ceiling, table, floor and other surfaces, at any angle and with a diagonal of up to 100 inches. The projector has a Full HD resolution, powerful speakers and voice control, supports all Smart TV functions, including work with streaming content services, the function of wireless broadcasting of content from a mobile phone controlled by Android and iOS platforms. Japanese Sony has unveiled the second prototype of its electric car - the Vision-S 02 crossover. It has two 200 kW (271 hp) engines and all-wheel drive. The maximum speed should be 112 mph (180 km/h).

The American startup Avokadio showed a device that gives advice about nutrition by analyzing the air exhaled by the user. This is a small copy of a sliced avocado with a special tube for blowing. The user must download the company's application to the smartphone, connect the device to it and exhale into it. The device will measure the amount of ketone bodies in the exhaled air, which are an indicator of fat burning during metabolism, after which it will give recommendations on diet. If some dishes from the menu are not liked and the user gives them a low rating, with the help of artificial intelligence, this will be taken into account in further recommendations
The Austrian company GeRoTech-Innovations showed Homeshadows - a device that generates moving shadows on walls, windows and curtains to simulate the presence of people at home and scare away thieves. The developers claim that a special algorithm reproduces non-repetitive movements, periods of complete rest and copies the behavior characteristic of real people in the room in a different way
